The remote is embarrassingly small, but I'm using the universal remote from my receiver anyway. It's simple to operate and has a pretty slick interface. It works great for exactly that - it plays DVDs, blu-rays, and audio CDs quickly, quietly, accurately, and without fuss. The low price for this blu-ray player reeled me in - I needed a simple 3D blu-ray player and nothing more.
